Macam-Macam Browser

1.  Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla Firefox yang ternyata aslinya bernama Phoenix dan kemudian untuk sesaat pernah dikenal sebagai Mozilla Firebird, adalah penjelajah web antar-platform gratis yang dikembangkan oleh yayasan Mozilla dan ratusan sukarelawan. Dibuat oleh mozilla corporation, firefox adalah salah satu web browser open source yang dibangun dengan Gecko layout engine. Tak hanya handal, firefox juga didukung oleh sejumlah Add-ons yang dapat diinstall terpisah yang memungkinkan pengguna melakukan sesuai dengan kegunaan Add-ons tersebut.

2.      Internet Explorer

 

Internet Explorer atau disingkat IE atau MSIE, adalah sebuah browser web propieter yang gratis dari Microsoft. Ia tersedia untuk kebanyakn versi microsoft windows, namun Microsoft telah berhenti mengeluarkan versi ter-update untuk semua platform kecuali Windows XP. Windows XP pack 2 keluaran microsoft beberap lama ini menambah beberapa fitur keamanan penting kepada Internet Explorer, termasuk firewall Windows yang sudah di-update dan pemblokir pop-up

3.  Safari
     Safari adalah sebuah penjelajah web buatan Apple Inc. yang awalnya hanya ditujukan khusus bagi sistem operasi Mac OS. Sampau saat ini, safari selalu dibundel bersama Mac OS X dan merupakan penjelajah web default di sistem operasi tersebut sejak Mac OS X v10.3

4.  Google Chrome

Google Chorme adalah sebuah web penjelajah terbuka yang dikembangkan oleh Google dengan menggunakan mesin rendering WebKit. Untuk proyek sumber terbukanya sendiri dinamakan Chromium.

5.  Flock

Flock adalab web browser yang dibangun dengan code mozilla frefox yang web browser ini khususkan menyediakan social networking dan Web 2.0

Flock didesain untuk memudahkan aktivitas online pengguna internet mengatur beberapa social networking, web mail, news feeds dan blogs yang mereka miliki. Dengan Mengunakan Flock mereka dapat dengan mudah menjelajah, berbagi, dan menikmati content maupun menjalin hubungan di situs pertemanan yang mereka inginkan.

6.  Opera

Opera adalah penjelajah web dan paket perangkat lunak internet antar-platform. Opera terdiri dari kumpulan perangkat lunak seperti penjelajah web serta perangkat lunak untuk membaca serta mengirim surat elaktronik. Opera dibuat oleh Opera Software yang bermarkas di Oslo,Norwegia.

Opera, aplikasi browser ringan yang mendukung interface launch page dan sejumlah fitur unggulan lainnya. sekarang telah meluncurkan Opera 9.5 dan sepertinya Opera tidak banyak berubah, hanya saja penampilanya yang berubah total dan mungkin sedikit bertambah cepat dalam browsing tapi kalau dalam download jelas Operalah no.1.

Opera dikembangkan oleh Opera Software company adalah salah satu Web Browser dan juga Internet Suite. Jika firefox punya Add-ons,  Opera punya “Opera Widgets”, sebuah aplikasi  web kecil yang dijalankan bersamaan dengan Opera yang mempunyai kegunaan tertentu, layaknya Add-ons firefox.

7.  K-Meleon

K-Meleon salah satu browser gratis dan open source di rilis dibawah  Lisensi GNU General Public dan berjalan diplatform Microsoft Windows (Win32) operating systems. Dibangun di atas Gecko layout engine, layout engine yang sama seperti digunakan Mozilla Firefox.

Browser ini selalu menjadi andalan disaat komputer sedang banyak menggunakan aplikasi, karena browser yang satu ini sangat hemat memory. Selain hemat memory browser ini juga tak kalah cepat dengan Firefox, dengan dukungan Netscape Bookmark, Opera Hotlist, dan IE Favorite browsing yang satu ini semakin mudah untuk digunakan. Dan hanya 2 hal yang sampai sekarang disesalkan, yaitu dalam hal tampilan dan dalam hal dukungan bahasa. Walaupun tema k-meleon bisa diganti, namun K-Meleon tak mendukung bahasa Indonesia seperti browser lainya. Tapi tak apalah yang penting hemat memory.

8.  SeaMonkey

Seamonkey adalah sebuah suite lengkap yang terdiri atas web browser, email client, IRC chat client. Seamonkey merupakan sebuah aplikasi browser yang mempunyai kemampuan multifungsi karena merupakan penggabungan antara fungsi-fungsi web browser yang berfungsi untuk menjalajahi internet, email client untuk menerima dan mengirim email, news client untuk menerima berita dan HTML editor untuk menyunting halaman website yang menggunakan HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language).

SeaMonkey, atau dikenal juga dengan sebutan lengkap sebagai Mozilla SeaMonkey pertama kali dirilis sekitar tahun 2006. Merupakan pengembangan dari browser lama yaitu Netscape Navigator yang dibuat oleh Netscape Comunication Corporation. Selain itu SeaMonkey juga merupakan aplikasi lintas platform, sehingga bisa digunakan di operasi system apa saja baik itu Windows, Mac, atau Linux.

9.  Camino

Camino adalah open source web browser dikembangkan berfokus pada memberikan experience terbaik kepada pengguna Mac OS X. Camino mengkombinasikan visual sederhana, elegan dan menyajikan pengalaman yang mengagumkan yang menjadi filosofi dari Macintosh dengan Gecko layout engine yang powerful. Camino hanya dapat diinstall dalam Sistem Operasi Mac

10.   Konqueror

Konqueror adalah web browser, file manager, dll. Konqueror menyediakan file viewer yang bisa mengexplore file-file di komputer anda maupun secara remote ke komputer lain. Protokol yang didukung Konqueror :

1. FTP and SFTP/SSH browser
2. SAMBA (Microsoft file-sharing) browser
3. HTTP browser
4. IMAP mail client
5. ISO (cd image) viewer
6. VNC viewer

Untuk menginstall Konqueror ini anda harus install KDE terlebih dahulu. KDE adalah Desktop Enviroment di keluarga unix, jika anda pengguna windows telebih dahulu install KDE.

11.       Dolphin Browser HD v4.0

Aplikasi Dolphin browser sebelumnya pernah mucul pada perangkat Nexus One, ini merupakan aplikasi browser yang pertama kali mendukung fitur multi-touch untuk zoom pada perangkat Android. Kini aplikasi Dolphin browser telah muncul dengan versi 4 dan hadir dengan beberapa perbaikan bug yang ada serta terdapat dukungan 12 bahasa. Sebuah antarmuka yang disempurnakan dan dukungan bookmark folder, aplikasi ini juga hadir dengan beberapa tambahan lain. Aplikasi ini kini hadir secara gratis dan bisa diunduh dihalaman Android Market.

12.       Avant Browser

Sama seperti browser lainnya, teknologi yang di usung oleh Avant browser hampir serupa dengan browser lain, seperti pop-up blocker, skin costumize, dll. Pihak Avant juga mengklaim browser mereka merupakan browser tercepat di dunia. Versi terbaru dari browser ini adalah versi 11.7.

13.       Maxthon Browser

Maxthon Browser turut meramaikan pasar web browser. Sepertinya mirip dengan Mozilla firefox. Tidak ada salahnya kan Anda mencoba browser yang satu ini. Versi terbaru dari browser ini adalah versi 2.1

Sebenarnya masih banyak lagi browser-browser yang lain, seperti Konqueror (Browser Linux), Crazy Browser dan lainnya.

14.       Deepnet Explorer

Deepnet explorer adalah browser web yang dibuat oleh Deepnet Keamanan untuk Microsoft Windows platform. Versi terbaru adalah 1.5.3 (BETA 3) yang dirilis Oktober 19 Januari 2006. Dikembangkan di Inggris, Deepnet Explorer memperoleh pengakuan yang baik untuk penggunaan anti- phishing alat dan peer-to-peer fasilitas untuk file sharing .

15.       PhaseOut

PhaseOut adalah internet browser yang memungkinkan beberapa pencarian dengan mesin pencari utama hanya dalam satu klik saja.

Beauty and The Beast

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Once upon a time, there lived a merchant who had three daughters. The youngest was the cleverest, the kindest, and the prettiest of the three daughters. Her name was beauty. They lived in the country but only had a little money. Beauty's sisters were always moaning about how poor they were, but beauty did not once complain.

One day before going to the market , the merchant asked each of each daughters what they wanted him to buy. The first said a fine dress, the second asked for a pearl necklace, and Beauty said "All I will ask for is your safe return and one pink rose that you pick especially for me". But the merchant could not sell anything at the market and came home as poor as before without any present for his daughters. On his way back to the cottage, he got lost in the dark forest and was terribly frightened. All of the sudden he came across a large castle that was surrounded by flowers. The merchant entered the castle but found no one at the castle. He waited for the master for hours but at last he was so tired that he fell fast sleep.

In the morning, the merchant wanted to go but as he did, he remembered his promise to Beauty and picked a lovely pink rose from the garden. As he picked the rose, a frightful looking beast appeared. The merchant fell to his knees and begged forgiveness. "Forgive me, forgive me, don't kill me" said the merchant "How dare you are, you picked my favorite flower" said the beast angrily. "Forgive me. This flower isn't for me. It's for my daughter. I had promised to her to bring her a rose from my journey" said the merchant. "I will forgive you and spare your life" growled the beast "If one of your daughter comes to live with me". When the merchant arrive home, he told his daughters his unhappy tale. But Beauty was happy to save her father's life and agreed to live with the beast. "Dear father, I will do anything for you. Take me to the castle" said beauty. The merchant hugged his daughter.

In the castle every evening, the beast came to visit Beauty and took a conversation between them. One day, the beast asked Beauty to marry him. But although Beauty came to like him, she did not want to marry him. "I really can't say yes..." Beauty began shakily "I'd so much like to...". The beast interrupted her with an abrupt gesture "I quite understand and I'm not offended with your refusal" said the beast.

One day, Beauty became very homesick and begged the beast to let her to visit her father. The beast agreed as long as she returned after seven days. At home, Beauty's father was so pleased to see her and asked Beauty to stay for a long time. But Beauty did not want to stay for longer than she had promised. One night, Beauty had a strange dream that the beast was ill and Beauty knew that she had to return. In the castle, Beauty found the beast died because he was so lonely without her. "If you can stay long enough to be my husband" wished Beauty. Who realized how much she loved him. As she made her wished, the beast turned into a handsome prince.

The beast told Beauty about the spell of a wicked fairy had cast upon him. The beast was free because Beauty loved him for his goodness. Finally, Beauty and the beast married and lived happily ever after in the castle together...
